Borrrrring...but good

OK....this may look like my first post but is actually my second. I deleted the first post.

So this past weekend I was suppose to do a 3 hour ride on Saturday. Unfortunately I had to do the USO 8K race expo on Saturday and it was also raining most of the day so I did not get to ride. So I went to the gym instead and ran for the first time in 3.5 weeks on the treadmill. After the run I did weights. On Sunday I knew I had to do a ride. With it still being cold and wet outside I decided to do it on the trainer. Yes that is right 3 hours on the trainer. I am happy I was able to watch the Chargers and two episodes of the final season of the Soprano.

As I got 30 minutes into the workout I realized doing 3 hours straight was going to push me over the edge. I decided to make it a brick workout. After each hour I would run 15 minutes. This would give me a total workout time of 225 minutes(3 hours, 45 minutes). The run portion proved to be very important. It showed me that I was ready to run again with no pain after being hurt for 3.5 weeks. Add in the fact that I use a Cyclops trainer which offers more resistance as you go faster it became a good strength workout too since Felipe wanted me to do my long ride in heavy gears this week.

I can't believe I finally posted a blog about a workout. I guess I can't make fun of others now for talking about their workouts. What I would like to do is have this not only a personal blog but an informative one also. Maybe I will post articles on training, injuries, interviews with athletes and coaches among other areas of interest. I think that would be cool.

God Bless!

Dave
